*Sedgwick Inc., Insurance brokers, the U.S. operating company of Sedgwick Group plc., recently announced the winners of its 1997 Office of the Year Awards. Tom Benson, managing executive, received notice that the Southwest Florida office has won top honors in its category.

*Anderson Consulting has commissioned Naples artist Phil Fisher to paint 50 watercolor paintings of Naples and southwest Florida to be given to CEOs at a 1998 conference to be held at the Ritz Carlton.

*The 1997 Pinnacle Award for Best Newspaper Ad was recently awarded to Spiro & Waites Advertising & Marketing, Ft. Myers, at the Lee County Building Industry Association's seventh Annual Pinnacle Awards ceremony.

*Denise Vendetti has been appointed general manager of the Santa Maria Resort, 7317 Estero Blvd., Ft. Myers Beach.

*According to John Smarge, owner of Ray the Mover, 3861 Domestic Ave., Naples, the relocation service been added to the chain of North American Van Lines' ISO 9002-Certified International Forwarding System.

*Community Home Services Inc., a member of the NCH Healthcare System, 851 5th Ave. N., Naples, has been Accredited with Commendation by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. It is the highest level of accreditation awarded by the commission.

*Members of Southwest Chapter of the Florida Motion Picture and Television Association received awards at the 1998 Statewide Crystal Reel Awards Banquet held recently. Lou Hernandez, owner of Naples-based Fiddler Productions, won for best director for a commercial, for his Marissa and Beach House commercials. Fiddler Productions received a bronze for "Deadly Mix," a boating safety message for the Naples Police Department.

*The film "Black," produced by Minot Motion Pictures of Ft. Myers and written and directed by Hernandez received a Silver Award as Best Short Film.

*Joel Banov received a Bronze Award for Best Industrial Film/Video, Best Editing in the Industrial Film/Video and Best Editing in the Industrial Film/Video category for "Completing the Lifecycle" produced by Magic Lantern Media of Naples.

*The movie "Escape From Cuba," produced by Robert Adamski of Cape Coral and largely filmed in Lee and Collier Counties, received two Bronze Awards.

*Broker/Owner Michael J. Frye CCIM, announces that Denny Hammermeister was ranked number 100 in the U.S. for 1997 out of approximately 50,000 RE/MAX agents in 3,000 locally-owned and operated RE/MAX offices throughout the world.

*Reed Meyer of Accounting Evolutions, 12319 Third St., Ft. Myers, has been designated as a professional advisor for QuickBooksr/QuickBook Pro accounting software. Accounting Evolutions assists small businesses in selecting the accounting software best suited to their needs and provides set-up and training in the use of that software.

*Robb & Stucky was a recipient of the Eighth Annual Sand Dollar Award in the category of Best Interior Merchandising, Single-Family Home over $3.5 million for Jan Wallace's interior design of the 1998 Home & Condo Dream Home at Quail West in North Naples.

*Robb & Stucky also announces new staff members, Margaret Dea, Marilyn Wright, James Lafferty, Jim Ronfeld, Bruce Heaberlin.

*Forum Design Group announces that J. Dean Farris was named as allied member of the American Society of Interior Designers.

*Design Group West, Naples, was honored with two Best Interior Merchandising categories in the Sand Dollar Awards competition.

*Bon Lee Interior Design's Cindy Williams recently accepted two Lee Building Industry Association's Pinnacle Awards.

*Fifth Third Bank was recently ranked number one among the top U.S. commercial banks for its 98 percent total return to investors last year in Fortune magazine's "Fortune 1000" survey.

*First National Bank of Naples, Karen Brazelton was promoted to assistant vice president of loan operations.

*NationsBank appointed Julie W. Husler as private client group relationship manager for the new Bonita Springs office.
