Chamber to Open Trade Promotion Office in Puerto RicoBy: Editorial StaffOpening Set for Spring |

communities, will open an office in San Juan, Puerto Rico to help with
the promotion of trade between Southwest Florida and Puerto Rico.

"We welcome this new venue that the chamber will offer to its membership
and to potential members of our chamber," said Lucy Quiñones,
chamber chairwoman. "Our chamber is always
looking to open new business opportunities for Hispanic and non-Hispanic
members, and this is an excellent opportunity to achieve that."
"PromoExport Puerto Rico, the Trade Development Governmental Agency of
Puerto Rico, has set as a goal to make Florida their number one trade
partner," saidLeonardo García, chamber executive director, who
recently met with Antonio Sosa, director of PromoExport.
Chamber leaders Ernesto Rolon, executive vice president; Chico Rivera,
past president, and García traveled to Puerto Rico in December to meet with attorney Raul Santiago who
offered the location where the chamber will have the Trade Promotion
Office. The office will be located at EDIFICIO ILA-SUITE PH-B AVENUE
KENNEDY MARGINAL, SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO.
