Colonial Bank Launches FGCU Scholarship

By: Editorial Staff

Program Available to Employees and Families

Colonial Bank's Southwest Florida Region has established the Colonial Bank

Scholarship Fund through a $10,000 endowment with Florida Gulf Coast

University. The initial contribution to this endowment will grow as

the bank expands in Southwest Florida.

Available to the bank's employees and their families beginning fall 2003,

the only requirement for eligibility is acceptance to the university. "We are happy to support the educational endeavors of our employees and

their families through this fund," says Harlan C. Parrish, president and chief executive officer of Colonial Bank's Southwest Florida Region. "FGCU is an exceptional

institution, and we are pleased to expand our relationship with them."

Colonial Bank's Southwest Florida Region is a division of the Montgomery,

Alabama-based Colonial BancGroup, a $15 billion multi-state bank holding

company with more than 260 locations in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Nevada,

Tennessee and Texas.
