CallTech to Expand

By: Editorial Staff

Company to Add 50-75 Employees

Increased market demand for CallTech Communications' Web-based customer service support is driving an expansion at its Fort Myers facility.

One of Lee County's largest private employers, CallTech is currently increasing its workforce of 230 employees by 25 percent, some 50-75 employees. Projected needs from customers could increase that count by an additional 200 employees within the next year.

Unprecedented, nonstop growth continues to position CallTech as a leader in web-based customer service product offerings. Since its founding in 1996, CallTech continues to add an impressive array of clients to its already diverse portfolio which includes, BellSouth, computer storage provider Iomega, Dirt Devil Entertainment, Universal Studios and Priceline.com.

"People often confuse our company with telemarketing, but we're actually at the opposite end of the spectrum," said Brad Keckler, Center Manager for CallTech's Fort Myers facility. "We are an in-bound contact center, providing support to various corporate clients."

CallTech is an in-bound contact center providing a variety of services including:

· Customer service and technical support.

· Information request, reservations and transactions.

· Membership sign-up and enrollment for various associations and services.

· Third-party verification for telephone and utility services.

· Sales for various goods and services.

· Cancellation "rescue" services attempting to keep customers.

· E-mail response, staffed and/or automated.

· Real-time customer service-technical support instant messaging (chat).

CallTech will host an on-site job fair on Saturday, February 22 from 10 a.m. until 2:00p.m. at the Fort Myers Customer Contact Center located at 2159 Colonial Boulevard, Unit D. Individuals interested in working either part-time or full-time in a fast-pace dynamic industry, are invited to stop by and learn about career opportunities available within a customer support center. For additional information on positions available and the job fair, call (866) 847-5135.

CallTech opened its 25,000-square-foot Fort Myers facility in January 2001. It was initially designed to house some 500 employees. Current projections have the company reaching that capacity within the next 12 months."CallTech is a tremendous asset to our community," said Janet Watermeier, director of Lee County Economic Development. "They are an industry leader in a rapidly growing business sector, offer jobs with competitive salaries and outstanding benefits, and will continue to grow and enhance our business community and quality of life in Southwest Florida."
