Colonial Bank Opens Lee Flagship Office

By: Editorial Staff

Location Part of Bank's Growth Plan

Construction is complete on the five-story, 50,000-square-foot Colonial Bank Plaza at the corner of Boy Scout Drive and

Summerlin Road.

The bank, which occupies more than 10,000 square feet on

the first and second floors including three drive-through lanes, is now

serving customers. In addition to Colonial Bank, FindWhat.com will occupy

the largest portion of the building (32,000 square feet).

The Colonial Bank Plaza office houses a full-service branch, as well as

commercial and residential lending staff, wealth management and investment

personnel to serve the bank's seven offices in Fort Myers, Lehigh Acres,

Sanibel Island and Cape Coral, as well as new locations planned for the

near future.

"As our flagship office for the greater Fort Myers area, Colonial Bank Plaza

provides us with the ideal location to enhance service for customers

throughout the area," says Harlan C. Parrish, president and chief executive officer of Colonial

Bank's Southwest Florida Region. "It will enable us to maintain our

commitment to excellent customer service as we continue to experience rapid

growth in Southwest Florida."

Since entering the Southwest Florida market with just 10 offices in 1998,

Colonial Bank has established 15 full-service offices with total deposits of

$407 million. The bank is poised to increase its offices from 15 to a minimum of 26 by

the end of 2006. Plans call for an additional $32 million in investments and 70

new jobs over the next five years.
