Sarasota Bank becomes Colonial BankBy: Editorial StaffColonial expands its reach north. |
Colonial Bank's Southwest Florida Region has officially expanded north to include the Sarasota/Bradenton area, and the Sarasota Bank office in Sarasota's Island Park area has become an office of Colonial Bank.
Harlan C. Parrish, president and CEO of Colonial Bank's Southwest Florida Region, announced Colonial BancGroup's merging with Sarasota BanCorporation, Inc., and its banking subsidiary Sarasota Bank in July. The conversion of the Sarasota Bank office to a Colonial Bank office is now complete.
The former Sarasota Bank office will be part of Colonial Bank's Southwest Florida region, which has been expanded to include the Sarasota/Bradenton area as a result of the merger. Additionally, two preexisting Colonial Bank offices, one at 3957 Cattlemen Road in Sarasota and one at 4312 Manatee Ave. in Bradenton, have become part of Colonial Bank's Southwest Florida Region.
"As a super community bank, our goal has always been to keep financial strength in local hands," says Parrish.
Prior to the expansion into Sarasota and Bradenton, Colonial Bank's Southwest Florida Region consisted of 16 full-service offices managing approximately $470 million in assets in Lee and Collier Counties only.
Colonial Bank's regional headquarters for Southwest Florida, including Lee, Collier, Sarasota and Manatee counties, is located at 27200 Riverview Center Boulevard in Bonita Springs.
Colonial Bank of Southwest Florida, is a division of the Montgomery, Alabama-based Colonial Bank, a $16.2 billion national bank holding company
