Open for Business

Incredible Me makes a youthful fashion statement.

Every child is incredible. That's the philosophy of Brenda Wakin, owner of Incredible Me, a new Naples boutique that caters to the under-13 crowd.

The population of infants, toddlers and primary-school-age children in Naples is growing as rapidly as the overall median age is dropping. "There was a void, and we decided to fill it," says Wakin. Incredible Me is located at the Marketplace at Pelican Bay.

Bright, cheery décor welcomes guests and complements a wide selection of high-end children's clothing and shoes. Incredible Me features European and American labels such as Catimi, Deux Par Deux, Kissy Kissy and Wes & Willy. Finely detailed fabrics, exclusive designs, rich textures and the highest quality clothing can be found in a variety of solids and prints. Even the swimwear and sleepwear is the latest that fashion has to offer. The shoes are comfortable leather, fun looking and of great quality. Charm bracelets and other jewelry accessories are available, as well. To ensure a fresh selection for the shopper, exclusive merchandise is delivered daily.

Wakin and her staff get to know your child up close and personal. "With the help of parents, we've created a database about each child. We wanted to make it easy for grandparents and friends to purchase a gift specifically suited to a child's personality and individuality," she says. Many items such as baby blankets, bibs and hats can be monogrammed.

The business philosophy is that parents and children should enjoy an incredible shopping experience. The store is filled with games, toys, and fresh and saltwater fish tanks-all of which create a child-friendly environment.

Incredible Me also has a philanthropic component. Before Wakin even opened the store, she donated $86,000 worth of designer children's clothing and footwear to the Shelter for Abused Women in Naples. Another favorite charity is the Canine Support Team, an organization that places dogs with people who rely on wheelchairs, walkers, crutches or canes. The store has helped them through fund raisers and by sponsoring a facility to help train the canines.
