Two Florida-based authors will headline luncheons in January and February for the Friends of the Bonita Springs Library, resuming the nonprofit’s activities on behalf of the Bonita Springs Public Library. The luncheons return to the Audubon Country Club, 625 Audubon Blvd., in North Naples, after being virtual lectures last year due to the pandemic. Tickets, which include lunch, are $40 each and can be purchased at the Friends of Bonita Library website, FriendsofBonitaLibrary.org. The lineup features Charles Todd, who is the author with his mother, Caroline, of dozens of post-World War I mysteries, including a series featuring Scotland Yard Inspector Ian Rutledge, on Thursday, Jan. 27; and Sarasota native Ward Larsen, whose primary series features CIA assassin David Slaton, on Thursday, Feb. 24. The Friends also announced the reopening of the Book Nook store inside the Bonita Springs Public Library, 10560 Reynolds St. The Book Nook’s volunteer staff sells donated books and other items at bargain prices.
