Bahia Bowls Acai Café launched a new location Dec. 9 in The Center of Bonita Springs on the northwest corner of U.S. 41 and Bonita Beach Road.
“Bonita Springs was our 10th location, fifth in Southwest Florida,” said Ben Casey, co-founder of Bahia Bowls. “We have 10 more stores in various stages of development. Next one to open will be in Ohio in January. We also have more coming to Tennessee, Lake Worth, Fort Myers and Tampa.”
The fast-casual concept has grown since the first Bahia Bowls launched at the Shoppes at Grande Oak in Estero in 2017. Bahia Bowls opened other locations in 2021 in North Naples this summer and in downtown Fort Myers this fall. The fifth area location is in Cape Coral.
The franchise’s made-to-order menu features a variety of customizable superfood fruit bowls such as acai and pitaya. Other items include salads and wraps, protein bites and savory and sweet toasts such as avocado and peanut butter/banana. Beverages include more than 10 smoothie options, nitro coffee on tap, cold-brewed coffee and kombucha.
The Bonita location is next to Sally Beauty in the Publix-anchored retail center. It’s 1,285-square-foot unit joins a strip of eateries that includes Petar’s Restaurant, Jet’s Pizza and Subway. Komoon Thai Sushi Ceviche and India Palace restaurants also are in that center.
Bahia Bowls is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. Dine-in, online ordering and curbside pickup service are available.
