Pristine Fine Dry Cleaning, an environmentally friendly luxury dry cleaner and fabric-restoration company, has expanded to a second location in Naples for area clients requiring upscale dry cleaning and laundry services.
The new location at 4596 Tamiami Trail N. was formerly the longtime home of Allen’s Dry Cleaning & Laundry on the corner of U.S. 41 and Granada Boulevard, directly across 41 from the Neapolitan Way retail center.
“We’re excited about the new location because Allen’s talented team brings wash-and-fold laundry service experience we can now offer to all our clients,” said Tom Janick, a second-generation dry cleaner who founded Pristine Fine Dry Cleaning with his wife, Lorrie, in 2006.
Pristine’s initial location in the city of Naples is at 506 Ninth St. N., in the same retail strip as the longtime Cosmos Ristorante & Pizzeria on the corner of U.S. 41 and Fifth Avenue North. It also operates a location in Princeton, New Jersey.
Pristine Fine Dry Cleaning is known for its use of environmentally friendly techniques to clean fabrics. The secret is a wet-cleaning process in a computer-controlled machine imported from Germany that uses special detergents that won’t harm fibers nor hurt the environment.
“We consider ourselves environmental stewards and want to be good citizens who care deeply for Southwest Florida’s natural beauty,” said Janick, who has served on boards investigating environmentally friendly techniques and is an expert who is a frequent speaker at industry events. The Janicks are also industry consultants who have trained more than 150 dry cleaning operations on green cleaning techniques.
Pristine has developed a reputation for cleaning unusual items and antique clothing ranging from slippers to wedding veils. It also restores and cleans items such as handbags that are made of leather and other animal skins. It offers custom, machine-free cleaning for special care by hand.
The new Naples location offers drive-thru service and Pristine will continue its complimentary pickup and delivery service with its fleet of vans. “We customize our service for every client so you don’t even have to be at home or the office when we pick up and deliver your clothes,” Janick said. “We can even hang your cleaned garments in your closet.”
