The redevelopment of Bayside Park on Fort Myers Beach continues to progress with the removal of an existing fountain and pavilion as well as existing pavers, which will be palletized and reused in the renovated park. The $885,000 renovation by Wright Construction Group continued with the installation of new columns for the new shade and sails and stage, new light poles and landscape lighting in addition to irrigation, making way for landscape installation to begin. The project is being conducted in partnership with improvements to two other recreational areas of Fort Myers Beach, Bay Oaks Recreational Campus and Times Square.
The fate of the City Hall building will be discussed and input provided by residents will be reviewed.
