Everglades City Railway Depot, which was built in 1928, could face demolition after Collier County’s Growth Management Department issued a Declaration of Dangerous Building Determination letter to the Everglades City’s Code Enforcement Division. The depot, which has served as a rail station and a few restaurants over the years at the city’s center, suffered severe damage during Hurricane Ian last year, including a partially collapsed roof, destroyed docks and water damage, WINK News reports.
