First-time franchisees Brittany and Brandon Webb opened Crave Cookies in the University Highlands Shopping Center, 19517 Highland Oaks Drive, Unit 502, in Estero. The grand opening will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 20 with free chocolate chip cookies, giveaways and the opportunity to win free cookies for a year.
While freshly baked cookie shops have been popping up locally for the last couple years, the Webbs are from the birthplace of gourmet cookie shops with Crumbl, Chip and Crave all being founded in Utah. Since moving to the area from Utah in 2022, the Webbs have been working to bring their favorite cookie shop to Southwest Florida.
“We’ve been eating them since they all started,” Brandon Webb said.
For the Webbs, Crave’s attention to detail in each cookie made choosing Crave over any other franchise a no-brainer.
“Everything has lots of mix-ins; a lot of them are filled and topped, and a lot are all three of those things,” Brittany Webb said. “A lot goes into every cookie, but it creates amazing flavors all together.”
Crave introduces a new lineup of six carefully curated flavors every Friday. The Estero location rolled out its six new flavors this morning ahead of its grand opening.
Brittany’s favorite cookie is one of the six: horchata churro, a cinnamon and sugar dough filled with horchata cream, rolled in cinnamon and sugar and topped with a horchata cream cheese frosting.
Other flavors include the scotcherookie, salted caramel brownie, the brookie and chilled cookies and cream. Crave’s signature chocolate chip cookie is always available alongside the rotating weekly flavors, while also having the semi-sweet chocolate chip cookie available on Thursdays.
Brittany said Crave hits the sweet spot in terms of variety compared to other cookie spots. “There’s something new to always try, but you don’t have to wait forever to try your favorite cookie again,” she said.
A single cookie is $4.39, with a four-pack costing $14.60 and up to $38.50 for a 12-pack.
Crave also offers a loaded soda bar. Sodas can be ordered off Crave’s loaded soda menu or personalized by guests, offered in five different sizes. The coconut crave loaded soda is the most popular, which is diet Coke, coconut and fresh lime. The Webb’s favorite is the crew, a Mountain Dew soda loaded with pineapple, lime, raspberry puree and coconut cream.
Crave will be open 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays.
The Webbs plan to open a second Crave Cookies location in Naples at The Shoppes at Vanderbilt in February.
