Lee Board of County Commissioners voted to award a $893,099 low-bid contract to OHLA USA Inc. to resurface Joel Boulevard from Bell Boulevard to east of Fifth Street in Lehigh Acres. The project consists of 5.4 lane miles of resurfacing and ADA improvements. Work is expected to begin in January. The commission also awarded a $1.85 million low-bid contract to OHLA USA Inc. to resurface Daniels Parkway from U.S. 41 to west of Ten Mile Canal. The project comprises 5.7 lane miles of resurfacing, ADA sidewalk upgrades and signal upgrades. Work is expected to begin in January and will be performed at night. Upon completion, the county Department of Transportation will have resurfaced Daniels Parkway from U.S. 41 to Six Mile Cypress Parkway in the past 12 months.
