Buff City Soap opens a new store on Black Friday at Mercato, the retail and restaurant destination at U.S. 41 and Vanderbilt Beach Road in North Naples.

The company permanently closed its store Tuesday in Trinity Plaza on U.S. 41 in downtown Naples to make the move to its new location. Another location also recently closed on Naples Boulevard in North Naples. Buff City Soap’s new 1,841-square-foot store is near Tommy Bahama, which is across from the Mercato’s central piazza and Narrative Coffee Roasters.

The national retailer offers dozens of handcrafted, plant-based soap and skincare products with more than 30 unique and customizable scents free of harsh ingredients. In addition to plant-based soap bars, products include a variety of bath bombs, body butters, facial soaps, shower fizzies and shower oils, as well as a men’s care product line, plant-based laundry soap, pup soap and bath accessories.

“We offer a truly unique experience where customers can see their hand-crafted soap products created right before their eyes,” says Christina Robinson, owner of the Mercato store. “And we needed an equally unique location for the newest Buff City Soap franchise.”

Each soap product is handmade daily in the retailer’s dedicated “soap makery,” combining a manufacturing and retail business under one roof. Shoppers customize their soaps and watch employees make the products in the store.

“The incredible level of customization possible with Buff City Soap is going to make it a welcome and very exciting addition to the Mercato retail lineup,” Valerie Cope, senior marketing director at Mercato, is quoted in a news release. “Our shoppers have discerning tastes and love being able to choose various aspects of their selections that make them one-of-a-kind purchases.”
