Walmart plans to remodel more than 650 stores nationwide, including stores in Cape Coral and Punta Gorda. The big-box store chain invested more than $1.6 billion to upgrade stores throughout Florida. It will add new signage and displays, expanded departments, and new items, while expanding online pickup and delivery and adding wider aisles, new private screening rooms and privacy checkout areas to its pharmacies to its locations at 3920 Skyline Blvd. in Cape Coral and 5001 Taylor Road in Punta Gorda, company officials said.
