Cincinnati-based Fifth Third Bank completed solar panel installations at five of its financial centers in Florida, including Englewood, Estero and East Naples. The installations mark the first time Fifth Third added solar panels to its own properties. The pilot program will be used to assess future installations on additional branches. Together the five locations, including two in Sarasota, are expected to generate more than 200,000 kilowatt-hours of renewable power annually and cover more than 80% of annual electric needs at some locations, company officials said.
