Florida drivers are paying slightly more at the pump than a week ago. On Dec. 15, the state average was $3.12 per gallon, 2 cents more than last week, according to data from AAA. Last week, the state average started at $3.10 per gallon, then dropped down to $3.03 Dec. 13, before rebounding to $3.12 Dec. 15. So far, December gas prices have averaged $3.07 per gallon. That’s 2 cents less than the monthly average in November and 4 cents less than the average price in October. In Southwest Florida on Dec. 16, Charlotte County had the lowest average price at $3.12 per gallon, followed by Lee County ($3.17) and Collier County ($3.19).
