Fort Myers-based agribusiness and land management company Alico Inc. reported a $9.2 million net loss attributable to common stockholders in the fourth quarter of 2024, according to an earnings report. Generating a fourth-quarter revenue of $16.8 million, Alico Citrus harvested approximately 4 million pound solids of fruit, compared to 4.7 million pound solids of fruit in the same period in the prior fiscal year. The decrease in pound solids harvested was driven by fruit drop caused by Hurricane Milton. The average price per pound solids increased $1.03 because of more favorable pricing in its contracts with Tropicana. Company officials said Alico will realize approximately $20 million in land sales in fiscal year 2025, based upon transactions that are under option agreements or have been negotiated and are expected to close soon.
