Avelo Airlines took flight Nov. 7 with nonstop service between Fort Myers’ Southwest Florida International Airport and Coastal North Carolina’s Wilmington International Airport. The route operates twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays, utilizing Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft.
Avelo has flown more than 360,000 customers on over 2,700 flights since starting service in Fort Myers.
It now serves four nonstop destinations from RSW. Wilmington joins the current nonstop service to Southern Connecticut’s Tweed-New Haven Airport, The Research Triangle’s Raleigh-Durham International Airport in North Carolina and Wilmington Airport in Delaware.
