Boathouse Tiki Bar & Grill at Cape Coral Yacht Club reopened Monday more than nine months after suffering damage from Hurricane Ian on Sept. 28. Owned by Kearns Restaurant Group, the 9-year-old restaurant features popular menu items such as the Authentic Cuban Sandwich and The Big BLT and Liki Tiki cocktail. General Manager Jay Collins said the restaurant had to replace about 60% of its staff in the last eight months while waiting to open and had to retrain new employees. Cape Coral Yacht Club Community Park remains closed due to damage from the storm. Restaurant hours are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. With limited parking at the restaurant, K.A.R.T Southwest Florida offers free rides from 5 to 10 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 5 p.m. to 3 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays. For a ride, call 239-365-7543.
