Inspired by traditional Italian bakeries in Rome, Bontà Bakery made its debut in a 900-square-foot space, 824 Fifth Ave. S. in Naples, which was previously occupied by Regina’s Ice Cream Pavilion before it closed last year. The all-day bakery open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily is under the culinary direction of Italian Pastry Chef Marco Berardi and features simple, organic and high-quality ingredients directly imported from Italy. The all-day menu includes a selection of bakery staples and grab-and-go items, such as croissants and pastries, sandwiches, pizzas and signature homemade gelato. Accompanying the food, the bakery offers a variety of beverages, including soft drinks and a comprehensive coffee selection. Chef Marco’s signature dishes include the Bombolone (Italian donuts) in a variety of flavors, Cornetto (Italian croissant) and brioche bread paired with a choice of ham. The gelato will feature a rotating selection of flavors with classics like pistachio, tiramisu and stracciatella.
