Cape Coral City Council directed the city attorney to prepare an ordinance naming the Sands Neighborhood Park location Sands Park. The city’s parks advisory board worked with the parks and recreation team and sought community input. The advisory board gave three name recommendations to the city council — Sands Park, Southern Sands Park and Sands End. The park is located at 2718 SW 43rd Terrace and is under construction.
