Three temporary Charlotte County drop-off locations for storm debris are open for residential drop-off only. Transfer facilities include Mid-County Mini-transfer & Recycling Facility, 19765 Kenilworth Blvd. in Port Charlotte; and West Charlotte Mini-transfer & Recycling Facility, 7070 Environmental Way in Englewood. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Monday through Saturday. A special drop-off location is Charlotte County Landfill, 29751 Zemel Road in Punta Gorda, and is open 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays and 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
