The shelters at Kingsway Elementary School, Babcock Neighborhood Schools and Harold Avenue Regional Park Recreation Center in Charlotte County are closed. The shelter at Babcock Ranch School Field House, 43281 Cypress Parkway in Punta Gorda, remains open and is accepting residents. Lee County consolidated shelter operations Oct. 10. The shelters remaining open are Island Coast High School in Cape Coral, Estero Recreation Center, Dunbar High School in Fort Myers and Hertz Arena in Estero. The county expects to further consolidate some of the remaining shelters Oct. 11.
