South Fork Grille and El Nido of Coconut Point will expand outdoor seating by 1,500 square feet for the consumption of alcohol on the premises. The locations, owned by Joe Sofia, are two separate restaurant concepts with two menus, served out of one kitchen. The extension will include an awning and a barrier, allowing for an isolated 60-inch pedestrian walkway outside the barrier. The Estero Village Planning Zoning and Design Board made a condition to not allow outdoor entertainment, but the owners can request a special event permit if they choose to do so in the future.
