Dawn Belamarich

Cape Coral resident Dawn Belamarich was named the new president and CEO of Collaboratory in Fort Myers. Most recently the system leader for the Behavioral Health Division at Lee Health, Belamarich will begin her new position with the organization focused on solving social problems in Southwest Florida on Sept. 5. She succeeds former CEO Sarah Owen, who stepped down from the position after nearly 12 years with the organization. Former Florida Gulf Coast University Michael Martin has served as interim CEO since March. Belamarich’s previous leadership roles include vice president of clinical and operational excellence, CEO and executive director at addiction treatment provider Recovery Centers of America. She is a licensed mental health counselor and master’s clinical addiction professional in Florida, a licensed professional counselor and clinical alcohol and drug counselor in New Jersey and has certifications in gambling addiction and trauma work. Founded in 1976 as the Southwest Florida Community Foundation, Collaboratory has acquired more than $100 million in grants and is home to more than 650 philanthropic funds.
