After nearly two years of renovation and conversion, the DoubleTree by Hilton Fort Myers at Bell Tower Shops officially opened. The former Crowne Plaza Hotel’s renovations began with the revamping of the hotel’s 225 guest rooms in 2023. Since then, upgrades have been made to the hotel’s lobby, 6,196 square feet of meeting space and in-house restaurant, Shoeless Joe’s Sports Cafe. The hotel’s ballroom was completely renovated with new chairs, lighting, carpet, walls and partitions. Shoeless Joe’s was fully renovated with new seating, more than 40 new TVs, a pet-friendly deck and revamped indoor and outdoor bars.

Additionally, the lobby features a new front desk location and updated lighting, flooring, seating, restrooms and more. The hotel gym also received new flooring and lighting, with new fitness equipment set to arrive this year. A dedicated Peloton Suite has replaced the business center, including a few high-tech stationary bikes for indoor cycling.
