Florida drivers are paying the most for car insurance in the U.S. in 2023 with average auto premiums of $2,560 per year, according to a study from Insure.com. The state’s average yearly rate, which increased 23% since 2021, is 52% more expensive than the national average of $1,682. Ohio owns the cheapest average premium in the country with $1,023 per year, followed by Maine, Idaho, Vermont and Oregon.
