Florida brought in $28.4 million more than anticipated in general-revenue tax collections in September, according to a report from the Legislature’s Office of Economic & Demographic Research. The state collected $4.17 billion in general revenue in September. Sales tax collections came in at $2.77 billion, $4.5 million less than the state’s projection, while corporate income taxes checked in at $1.02 billion, $13.6 million below the forecast.
