Florida’s minimum wage is set to increase to $13 an hour for most nonexempt employees and $9.98 for tipped workers Sept. 30. It is the next step in the journey to a $15 minimum wage in the state by 2026 established by a voter-approved constitutional amendment in 2020. In September 2021, minimum wage rose to $10 an hour, followed by an increase to $11 an hour in September 2022 and $12 an hour in September 2023.
