Fort Myers-based MK Architecture was commissioned to design a new arts building for the Fort Myers Beach Art Association Inc. after its original building was destroyed during Hurricane Ian. The project, which is anticipated to start construction in early 2023, includes a 3,500-square-foot, two-story all-concrete building at 3030 Shell Mound Blvd. to house the gallery and studio.  The art association is an all-volunteer, member-operated nonprofit organization promoting the study, practice and appreciation of art.
