Fort Myers Community Redevelopment Agency approved two Commercial Property Improvement Matching Grants for the Downtown Redevelopment Area during its last meeting of the fiscal year. The first grant was approved for Oasis Restaurant in the not-to-exceed amount of $4,657 for its property at 2260 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. for landscaping. The second grant is for the not-to-exceed amount of $43,203 for Dean Street Sports Bar LLC located at 1418/1420 Dean St. The funds will be used for awning, door and window replacement. The CRA Commercial Property Improvement Grant Program is a matching grant for commercial property owners and businesses within Fort Myers redevelopment areas. The maximum potential grant available for a project in Tier I is 75% of the total eligible expenditure, with a maximum award of $50,000.
