The 12th Annual Golisano Children’s Hospital Fashion Show raised $109,340 to support the planned Golisano Children’s Hospital Surgery Center. The event was Nov. 12 at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort and Spa in Bonita Springs. Golisano Children’s Hospital plans to open an outpatient surgery center adjacent to the main campus. The surgery center will provide a calming environment for standard procedures, such as tonsillectomies, adenoidectomies and ear tube placements, freeing up resources for pediatric neurosurgery, trauma cases, fractures and more. The center will help to reduce wait times, increase efficiency, lower costs and improve access to emergency services.
