Naples-based custom homebuilder Gulfstream Homes expanded its remodeling division to meet a spike in demand for high-end home remodeling services. The company has added three new employees, additional crews focused primarily on remodeling and enhanced design and build procedures for a customized experience and an expedited home remodel process. Company officials said increased demand for home remodeling in Southwest Florida is due to several factors, including Hurricane Ian damage, the desire to update luxury homes and condominiums built in the Mediterranean design boom and the desire of homeowners to stay on their current lot and update their home without relocating. Remodeling projects include home additions, such as a second story or added wing, exterior renovations, such as the removal of arched windows and openings for an updated look, or whole home interior remodeling to obtain a more open floor plan.
