The pedestrian walkway project on the Caloosahatchee Bridge in Fort Myers is on schedule and expected to be completed before Christmas Day, Lee County Commissioner Brian Hamman said. On Dec. 5, Hamman joined 92.5 FM, where he was asked about progress on the walkway. He said he spoke with the Florida Department of Transportation district secretary about its impact on commuters and plans to open all four lanes before Christmas Day. Initially, the plan was to fully reopen the bridge and complete the work between December and January, WINK News Reports.
