Hendry Regional Medical Center installed a 3D mammography machine at its LaBelle Convenient Care Center. This addition to the health care offerings in LaBelle was made possible through the support of the local community and the HRMC Foundation, which contributed $250,000 to bring the advanced technology to the region. The machine will build on the medical center’s dedication to early breast cancer detection and diagnosis, offering superior image clarity and enhanced accuracy compared to traditional mammograms, HRMC Foundation officials said. U.S. Sugar provided a $30,000 contribution toward the acquisition of the 3D mammography machine.
