Lee County is planning a phased reopening of beach parks beginning with tentative opening plans for Dog Beach in Bonita Springs and Boca Grande beach accesses in early March. Lee County Natural Resources is overseeing the restoration of the natural elements while Lee County Parks & Recreation is overseeing the beach parks restoration, including facilities and amenities. Tentative openings at Alison Hagerup Beach Park on Captiva, San Carlos Bay/Bunche Beach Preserve in south Fort Myers and Bonita Beach accesses 1, 4, 5, 6 and 9 are slated for mid-March. In mid-April, Lynne Hall Memorial Park on Fort Myers Beach and Bonita Beach Park are tentatively scheduled to open. Bowditch Point Park and Crescent Beach Family Park on Fort Myers Beach and Bonita Beach accesses 2, 3, 7, 8 and 10 will open in May.
