Lutheran Services Florida will host its first fundraiser dedicated to supporting the Bridge and Beyond home, a foster care initiative in Fort Myers. The event will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 19 at La Ola Surfside Restaurant at Bell Tower in south Fort Myers, with the goal of raising $75,000 to renovate the first-of-its-kind Bridge and Beyond foster home in Florida. Bridge and Beyond is a temporary shelter for foster children and teens ages 10 to 17. It is a sanctuary designed to provide safety, stability and healing to youth overcoming abuse, neglect and abandonment, offering around-the-clock care for up to 12 children. Funds raised at the event will support critical renovations, including new flooring, fresh paint and essential repairs.
