Lululemon, an athletic apparel retailer, opened its new, larger store Wednesday at Waterside Shops in Naples. The Canada-based chain originally known for its leggings and yoga pants moved into the newly renovated former space of Banana Republic in the upscale open-air mall, nearly doubling its footprint from 3,270 square feet to 6,000 square feet. The new store is near the Apple store on the western edge of Waterside Shops, 5555 Tamiami Trail N. Founded in Vancouver in 1998, Lululemon has nearly 500 stores worldwide. The new local store is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
