New Orleans-based chain PJ’s Coffee opened its second location in Florida at the Cape Coral Commons shopping center, 1519 NE Pine Island Road. Owned and operated by Susan Wright and Mike Herren, PJ’s serves a variety of hot, iced and frozen coffee beverages, as well as organic tea and fresh breakfast pastries. Iced coffees are brewed daily using a special cold-drip process that protects the flavor and strength of the beans while producing a coffee that is two-thirds less acidic. PJ’s utilizes arabica coffee beans, sourcing 14 origin coffees from Sumatra to Ethiopia, Colombia to Papua New Guinea. This gourmet coffee is small batch roasted in 300 pounds or less. Hours are 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays.
