A public information meeting is planned for June 27 regarding a study to extend Wilson Boulevard to connect Golden Gate Boulevard and Collier Boulevard in Golden Gate Estates. The informal, open house meeting will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at the University of Florida/IFAS Extension Office multi-purpose room, 14700 Immokalee Road. People may attend at any time during those two hours to review the project displays and talk one-on-one with the project team. The study aims to determine a preferred corridor alignment and specifications for improved access between neighborhoods, roadway connectivity and emergency response. Two more public meetings are planned to provide updates with final recommendations anticipated this fall.
