The inaugural Sanibel Captiva United Way Golf Tournament raised $15,000 to benefit United Way of Lee, Hendry, and Glades. The funds go toward the Sanibel and Captiva community’s goal to raise $750,000 in the 2024-25 United Way campaign. The group has raised more than $650,000 in each of the past three years. The United Way campaign raises money that stays in the local community to help support the human service network of 90 partner agencies and more than 260 programs. United Way Partner Agencies, such as F.I.S.H. of SanCap, Beacon of Hope, Blessings in a Backpack, Cancer Alliance Network, Family Initiative, Community Cooperative, Abuse Counseling and Treatment and Children’s Advocacy Center, serve a diverse range of needs in the community.
