The Seminole Tribe of Florida will break ground on a casino hotel Jan. 5 on the Brighton Seminole Reservation in Okeechobee. Seminole Casino Hotel Brighton, which will feature 100 rooms, two restaurants and a coffeehouse, will replace the tribe’s 27,000-square-foot Seminole Brighton Casino, which is 3 miles north of the site of the future 160,000-square-foot casino on Reservation Road. The tribe operates six casinos in the state, including Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee.
