The 14th annual SWFL Wine & Food Fest hosted Jan. 21-22 by SWFL Children’s Charities raised $2 million Saturday at the event’s Grand Tasting & Live Auction on the campus of Florida SouthWestern State College in Fort Myers. Over the years, the local fundraising event has donated more than $25 million for its primary beneficiaries: Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida and scholarships for local students majoring in health sciences to Florida Gulf Coast University and Florida SouthWestern State College. This coming weekend, Jan. 28-30, the Naples Children & Education Foundation (NCEF) will host its annual Naples Winter Wine Festival to benefit underprivileged and at-risk children in Collier County.
