The Naples Players are hosting a groundbreaking event for the public from 5-6:30 p.m. Sunday at 701 Fifth Ave. S., Naples. Just ahead of a $20 million renovation set to begin April 3, TNP is inviting community members, volunteers and donors to help celebrate the theatre’s impact on the community over the past 20 years and the future growth of this vital theatre organization. Guests will enjoy refreshments and have photo opportunities with hammers and hard hats. The City of Naples invited TNP in 1994 to build its facility on Fifth Ave South. The renovation project, led by custom commercial builder BUILD, headquartered in Naples, and financed by Lake Michigan Credit Union and FineMark Bank and Trust, is expected to be complete by March 2024. During the year-long renovation, TNP will continue performances offsite with a nine-show season.
