The Pearl Steak & Seafood closed Sept. 16 after doing business for more than five years in North Naples. The Pearl operated in the 7,500-square-foot anchor space where Stonewood Grill & Tavern had a 17-year run in Fountain Park retail center near the southwest corner of Airport-Pulling and Vanderbilt Beach roads.
The nearly 250-seat local restaurant was launched in the summer of 2018 by Robert, Patricia, James and Jillian Miller, the local family behind the longtime Oyster House, an Everglades City restaurant that was destroyed by Hurricane Irma. Family patriarch Bob Miller died in March 2021, but other family members could not be reached for comment regarding the circumstances for The Pearl’s closing or information about a future dining destination in that retail center, which also includes Parmesan Pete’s, Sushi-Thai Too and Food & Thought 2.
