UFC hall of famer and former light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz was named the grand marshal for the 87th annual Edison Festival of Light Grand Parade on Feb. 15 in Fort Myers. Ortiz moved his family from California to Cape Coral in 2022 after witnessing the resilience and unity of the community during relief efforts in Matlacha, Pine Island and North Captiva following Hurricane Ian. He is the owner of Tito’s Cantina Tequila Bar & Grille in Cape Coral and is an assistant wrestling coach at Ida Baker High School.
