Vineyards Country Club officials announced the commencement of construction activities for redesigning and renovating its 18-hole, Mark McCumber-designed championship North golf course in North Naples. Key aspects of the renovation plan include expanding the course’s yardage from the professional tees to transform it into a championship-level layout. Additionally, the project involves rebuilding and enlarging the greens to accommodate a variety of pin locations, as well as recontouring the fairways to enhance playability and pace of play while offering challenges suitable for golfers of all skill levels. The completed course will feature aesthetic improvements to differentiate it from the South course, including natural Florida waste areas, stone cap walls and two wood bridges. Led by golf course architect Kipp Schulties, anticipated completion is slated for December.
