The live auction at the 25th annual Naples Winter Wine Festival unofficially raised more than $33 million on Jan. 25 at The Ritz-Carlton Naples, Tiburón, bringing the total raised over 25 years to nearly $335 million.

Auction lots included rare collections of some of the world’s most sought-after wines, exotic travel adventures, limited-edition cars and unique experiences. Every dollar raised under the auction tent funds the festival’s founding organization, Naples Children & Education Foundation, which seeks to transform the lives of underprivileged and at-risk children.

Lot 25, which included the new 2025 Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible, was the most expensive lot, as the winning bidder paid $1.7 million. The winner also will join Bentley at Monterey Car Week 2025. Four nights will be spent at The Inn at Spanish Bay and winners will Attend Bentley’s VIP Terrace at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, and enjoy VIP tickets to the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance with access to The Bench hospitality suite, as well as a round of golf with Bentley Motors CEO Michael Rocco.

Naples Children & Education Foundation officials will announce the official total raised early next week.

Lot 1: Vines and voltage

Winning bid: $260,000

The winning bidder is among the first to own the 2025 reincarnation of Volkswagen’s famous microbus, along with an instant wine cellar of amazing depth and variety. The all-electric Volkswagen ID. Buzz recreates the iconic VW Bus of the 1960s and 1970s. The wine component of this lot is a collection of 34 magnum bottles from each of the 2025 Naples Winter Wine Festival’s participating vintners, including Opus One, Petrus, Dominio de Pingus, Gaja Sorì Tildìn Barbaresco, Peter Michael Les Pavots and a 2014 La Romanée from Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair.

Lot 2: Champagne fit for royalty 

Winning bid: $580,000

Two couples will enjoy six nights in France with the best of Paris, followed by special insider access in Reims. Their three nights in Paris include a private tour of the Palace of Versailles and a visit to Maison Mellerio, the oldest and last family-owned jewelry house in France. They’ll then transfer to Reims for three nights where Rare Champagne’s Chef de Cave Émilien Boutillat will give them a VIP tour of the vineyards and cellar along with a special tasting. Their party will visit the famous Reims Cathedral and luxuriate in Suites at the restored Résidence Eisenhower, including a multicourse dinner paired with rare champagne library vintages. Back home, each couple will be able to recreate their experience with a pair of 2008 and 2014 magnums. 

Lot 3: 7 glorious, wine-filled days in Tuscany

Winning bid: $380,000

Two couples will spend seven nights exploring the wine, food and lifestyle of the Chianti and Montalcino regions, focused on the estates of Elisabetta Gnudi. They’ll stay in executive suites at Borgo Scopeto, one of Tuscany’s most beautiful and luxurious resorts. An introduction to the glories of Brunello di Montalcino will include Caparzo, as well as Altesino. At dinner, they’ll sample local delicacies and witness a reenactment of the Palio, the famous Sienese bareback horse race. When the time comes to rejuvenate, the winning bidders will take refuge in the Borgo Scopeto Relax SPA with a massage and enjoy a Bacchus bath. Each couple will receive a collection of the estates’ wines for their home cellar, including large format bottles.

Lot 4: From vines to victory with Stonestreet

Winning bid: $260,000

Four couples will indulge in the high points of Kentucky culture: bourbon and horse racing. The party will spend four nights in October 2025 at two private guesthouses at Stonestreet Farm, founded by the late vintner Jess Stonestreet Jackson and his wife, Barbara Banke. Highlights include a full day at Keeneland, a unique venue that has combined world-class racing and industry-leading thoroughbred auctions. It wouldn’t be Kentucky without bourbon, and their group will be able to visit some of the foremost distilleries on the state’s Bourbon Trail. Each couple will receive a magnum of 2016 Stonestreet’s Christopher’s Cabernet Sauvignon and Upper Barn Chardonnay.

Lot 5: Experience the beauty of Burgundy at Château de la Crée 

Winning bid: $480,000

Three couples will indulge in the glories of Burgundy at Château de la Crée in Santenay, France. After establishing Oregon’s luxury wine industry at Domaine Serene, Grace Evenstad and her late husband Ken purchased the historic château and became producers of world-class chardonnay and pinot noir on two continents. The group will receive a guided e-bike tour and tastings at three Château de la Crée estate vineyards, followed by an intimate lunch in the vineyard, plus a VIP visit to the famed Hospices de Beaune. The cuisine of Burgundy is nearly as famous as the wine, and the group will sample dishes from both rustic and Michelin-starred restaurants, as well as a La Table de Léonce lunch and wine tasting at the historic Clos de Vougeot. This lot includes three magnums of Château de la Crée and Maison Evenstad wines. 

Lot 6: Paris en Vogue with Chanel 

Winning bid: $380,000

A couple will spend three nights at five-star Hôtel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel in Paris, immersed in the world of Chanel’s elegant fashion and high jewelry, from Oct 5-8. The winning bidders will have access to the Fall 2025 Chanel Ready-to-Wear Show, one of the most important fashion events in the capital. They’ll be whisked away to the Place Vendôme for a private viewing of Chanel’s High Jewelry Collection and will experience unique, client-curated activities based on their interests. In addition, they’ll savor a private tasting of four Chanel-owned estates, as well as receive a magnum of 2015 Château Canon and 2009 Château Rauzan-Sègla. 

Lot 7: Discovering Petrus while the world awaits 

Winning bid: $650,000

This lot offers two couples an unprecedented opportunity to spend three nights in Bordeaux with a once-in-a-lifetime visit to the prestigious Petrus wine estate, along with a two-week voyage in a two-Bedroom Residence onboard The World, Residences at Sea. There are no visits allowed at Petrus, but exceptionally for the NWWF, Jean Moueix is happy to have the property’s doors open to welcome the group for a tour of the cellars and a tasting, followed by lunch at the Moueix family home in Libourne. Their experience aboard The World includes the opportunity to participate in the ship’s expedition into Indonesia’s West Papua region, a vertical wine tasting and spa treatments, plus Michelin-level cuisine and extraordinary service. The winner will receive a rare  3-liter bottle of 2001 Petrus signed by Proprietor Jean Moueix and Winemaker Olivier Berrouet. 

Lot 8: Harvest Harmony: Exploring Napa’s flavors and Lake Tahoe’s beauty

Winning bid: $320,000

Three couples will experience a four-night immersion into Laird Family Estate, followed by a full week of relaxation and fun at California’s Lake Tahoe. Laird Family Estate owner Ken Laird will oversee a visit that includes a tour of the vineyards and winery as well as a private blending session with General Manager Rebecca Laird and Winemaker Brian Mox. Their trip also will include a hive tour with an expert beekeeper and honey tasting with Laird Family Estate wines in addition to an intimate five-course, farm-to-table wine-paired dinner at the estate. Afterward, they’ll head to Lake Tahoe for seven nights in a four-bedroom residence managed by Exclusive Resorts, a mid-mountain retreat with private hot tubs and fire pits. Each couple will receive a 6-liter bottle of Laird Family Estate Flat Rock Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon and a case of their custom blended wine.

Lot 9: Where wild meets wonderful 

Winning bid: $420,000

Three couples or a family of six will spend four nights at the five-star Lodge & Spa at Brush Creek Ranch in Saratoga, Wyoming. Brimming with western luxury, Brush Creek Ranch activities range from the adventurous (cattle drives, horseback trail rides, barrel racing and pole bending) to the sublime (forest bathing, meditation and yoga). Meals, beverages and two ranch activities per day are included. For a special treat, the winners will have a choice of a full-day curated activity, with private mountain snowcat skiing or an immersive hands-on farm tour. One evening, the party will be treated to a multicourse dinner paired with the wines of Carter Cellars. Each couple will also receive a trio of 3-liter Carter Cellars wines.  

Lot 10: Eastbound westbound: A journey through Napa and Bordeaux

Winning bid: $700,000

This exclusive seven-day, six-night luxury experience offers two couples an insider’s view of both Napa Valley and Bordeaux, hosted by ADAMVS and Château Fonplégade Proprietor Denise Adams. The Napa portion of the trip includes a biodynamic vineyard tour, a farm-to-table dinner at the estate, a private screening of the documentary Eastbound Westbound, a private tour of Kramlich Residence and Collection and meals at the finest wine country restaurants. At Château Fonplégade, they’ll stay at the château’s private residence, create their own personal Bordeaux blend, have a private hands-on cooking class and visit top Right Bank properties. The winners will receive a collection of wines from both estates in Jeroboam and standard sizes, as well as bottles of their custom blended wine.

Lot 11: The Glories of Santa Barbara and Santa Ynez Valley 

Winning bid: $340,000

Three couples will indulge in a seven-night ultimate wine country escape: a curated journey through the landscapes of Santa Barbara and the Santa Ynez Valley, beginning at Crown Point Vineyards and concluding at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito. In Santa Ynez, they’ll spend five nights at The Inn at Mattei’s Tavern. They’ll join the Crown Point winemakers to create a full barrel of their custom-blended wine, savor dinner at the Michelin-starred Bell’s Restaurant in Los Alamos, enjoy a spa treatment and visit some of the premier wine estates in the area. Their final two nights in Santa Barbara will be spent at the 550-acre San Ysidro Ranch and include a visit to Lotusland, a 37-acre botanical garden. 

Lot 12: A taste of tradition in Bordeaux, Rioja and San Sebastián 

Winning bid: $340,000

Two couples will spend six nights indulging in the best of both worlds: world-class wine in Bordeaux and Rioja and cutting-edge cuisine in Spain’s Basque country. The focus of your three nights in Bordeaux will be centered on two properties, Château Léoville Las Cases and Château Nénin. The party will experience an in-depth view of both wineries, followed by a dinner featuring the wines of both vineyards. They’ll travel to San Sebastián for three nights at Hotel Maria Cristina San Sebastián in Spain’s Basque region for an exploration of the wines of nearby Rioja, visiting estates such as CVNE and La Rioja Alta. They’ll dine in restaurants ranging from casual pintxos and local tapas eateries to the Michelin-starred Asador Extebarri, ranked as the No. 2 restaurant in the world.

Lot 13: The timeless appeal of Peter Michael Wines and Blancpain Timepieces

Winning bid: $360,000

Two couples will share an introduction to the wines of Peter Michael and the watches of Blancpain with three nights in Napa and three nights in Switzerland. Their time in Napa will be spent at the winery estate with an insider’s view of winemaking, dinner at Hazel Hill and a picnic lunch at the Cote Deux Mille overlook. Then the scene will shift to Switzerland. A tour of the Blancpain workshop will provide a first-hand look at the complex artistry of the master watchmakers. At the Michelin three-star Restaurant de l’Hôtel de Ville, celebrated Chef Franck Giovannini will share his secrets during a personal cooking class. This lot also includes a unique Blancpain Villeret Quantième Complet timepiece as well as a collection of Peter Michael wines, including a jeroboam, six magnums and four 750 ml bottles.

Lot 14: The height of fashion in Paris with Balmain

Winning bid: $400,000

Total raised so far: $5.87 million

One couple will experience a five-night insider’s view of Paris Fashion Week in fall 2025 or spring 2026 with Balmain. Few couture houses have a more respected history than Balmain. Their VIP experience will include five nights at the five-star Grand Hôtel du Palais Royal, two tickets to the Balmain Ready-to-Wear Show and the exclusive party and cocktail reception held by the house, plus meals in the city hosted by Balmain representatives. They will also enjoy VIP experiences personally hosted by fashion icon Cameron Silver during the trip. Back home, they’ll have a $10,000 shopping spree at a Balmain’s Naples ephemeral boutique or a store in the winners’ city of choice.

Lot 15: Trustee treasure trove: The wine collection of a lifetime

Winning bid: $600,000

The 239 bottles in this lot would qualify as the wine cellar of a lifetime. The delights of this collection are almost endless: Bond, Opus One and Screaming Eagle; French gems ranging from a 6-liter of 2000 Château Mouton Rothschild to the scarcest of Burgundies, a 3-liter of 2015 Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva from Giuseppe Quintarelli; large formats of Ornellaia, Masseto, Bruno Giacosa and Biondi-Santi; and verticals of Pingus and Château Latour. The winning bidder will also receive a Bacchus-themed sculpture designed by Method & Concept, in coordination with Thomas Riley Artisans’ Guild of Naples and noted American sculptor Brett F. Harvey.

Lot 16: The Paris of your dreams

Winning bid: $600,000

Total raised so far: $7.07 million

Three couples will spend three nights in Paris with Ann Colgin and Joe Wender, proprietors of Colgin Cellars. The dream begins in either the Quintessence Suite or the Ravel Suite at Cheval Blanc Paris. They’ll have a private tour of the Fondation Louis Vuitton and a privileged view of the rebuilt Notre-Dame cathedral. They’ll experience the pinnacle of the culinary arts at three Michelin-starred Plénitude plus an exclusive dinner hosted by Ann and Joe at one of their favorite restaurants in the city. Enjoy a private dinner at the exclusive, invitation only, LVMH Apartment with wines from the LVMH Vins d’Exception group. The art of fashion won’t be neglected, either: the group will have an exclusive tour of Christian Dior Atelier, followed by lunch at Le Restaurant Monsieur Dior. This lot also includes a rare collection of six jeroboams of Colgin Cellars wines.

Lot 17: Heart and Seoul

Winning bid: $420,000

Shafer Vineyards offers two couples the ultimate global adventure, combining four nights in South Korea, plus an insider’s visit to Shafer Vineyards in Napa Valley. In South Korea, Shafer and parent company Shinsegae offer a bespoke experience, including accommodations at five-star The Westin Josun Seoul. Their culinary journey includes two Michelin-starred restaurants, L’Amant Secret and Eatanic Garden. Partake in a private suite experience in the Sky Box at Incheon SSG Landers Field, a round of golf at a Shinsegae-owned club and a trip to House of Shinsegae. Two couples will live like true Parisians for 10 nights, followed by a three-night, in-depth exposure to Cliff Lede, one of Napa’s finest estates. Their home in Paris will be Cliff Lede’s two-bedroom apartment located near the Musée d’Orsay and the Louvre. When they’re not seeing the sights, they’ll frequent the neighborhood cafes, markets and bistros and enjoy stocked bottles of rare champagne in the apartment. Now it’s time to journey to Napa’s Stags Leap District for a stay at Poetry Inn Napa Valley. After a VIP tour and tasting, the winners will be invited to a dinner in Cliff’s personal residence. Over the five days of this trip to Argentina, two couples will experience both the urban sophistication of Buenos Aires and the outstanding wines of Terrazas de los Andes. Their adventure begins with two nights in the Paris of South America, where they’ll be exposed to the best of local culture and Michelin-starred cuisine, as well as the famed Rojo Tango show. From there, fly to Mendoza, where they’ll be hosted for dinner by CEO Lucas Löwi after a tour and tasting at Terrazas de los Andes. They’ll spend a night at the Terrazas de los Andes winery residence and two nights at The Vines Resort & Spa. Savor multiple delectable meals and experiences in the area, including a helicopter tour. One couple will spend five nights in a waking dream from June 15-20 that includes a newly restored Grand Suite on the opulent Belmond Orient Express from Florence to Paris. They’ll explore the height fashion at BVLGARI’s Leather Goods & Accessories Manifattura and enjoy a $20,000 credit toward their own custom-made handbag. Four couples will have the unparalleled experience of spending 15 nights in the ultra-luxury properties of Cuvée, with five nights each in Tuscany, Telluride and the winners’ choice of Hawaii or Los Cabos. At Cuvée’s Tuscan Farmhouse in the Chianti Classico region, they’ll enjoy six ensuite bedrooms, an infinity pool, vineyard views, chef-led dinners and farm-to-table pizza making. Their five nights at Hood Park Haven in Telluride will include a 18,000-square-foot villa with seven bedrooms, ski-in/ski-out access, a bowling alley and experiences that include fly fishing and a chef-prepared dinner. The final destination will be five nights at the tropical escape of their choice: either the Hawaii Makai Estate or Los Cabos Seaside Casita. Lot 25: Italia Reimagined: The Alta Moda Dream

Winning bid: $420,000

One couple will embark on an extraordinary six-night experience in Italy, attending the 2025 Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda event from July 11-17. The Alta Moda event distills the essence of the fatto a mano (handmade) Dolce & Gabbana style, sometimes expressed as “from the heart to the hands.” Before their trip, the winners will receive a $15,000 shopping certificate to purchase Dolce & Gabbana clothing at Saks Fifth Avenue Naples. When they travel to Italy, they will enjoy luxurious accommodations and five days of private events, including a welcome event, a high jewelry presentation and dinner, two fashion shows followed by seated dinners, plus a final celebration party. This lot also includes a limited-edition Dolce Box handbag.

Lot 26: Castles, cuisine and Baltic coastlines

Winning bid: $700,000

Two couples will spend three magical nights in Copenhagen, followed by a seven-night voyage through Scandinavia and the Baltics onboard one of the most luxurious vessels at sea: The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. This 10-night trip will take place July 21-31. After visits to museums and castles and a guided gastronomic tour of the city, they’ll board the Ilma. Ilma is a superyacht rather than a cruise ship, with a capacity of only 448 passengers and the highest ratio of space per guest at sea. Elevated cuisine takes center stage, and their Grand Suites offer luxurious living and dining space as well as a spacious terrace. They’ll port in Karlskrona, Sweden; Gdańsk, Poland; Helsinki, Finland; Tallinn, Estonia; and Mariehamn, Åland Islands, Finland, before disembarking in Stockholm.

Lot 27: Blackberry state of mind: A toast to Gargiulo and Silver Oak

Winning bid: $550,000

Three couples will slip into a Blackberry state of mind and enjoy three nights each at the Relais & Châteaux properties of Blackberry Farm and Blackberry Mountain. Their stay begins at the Mountain, where Executive Chef Joey Edwards will craft a menu composed of the best seasonal ingredients; the wines of Gargiulo Vineyards, Silver Oak and OVID Napa Valley will round out this special evening. The culinary high point of their stay at the farm will be a private dinner prepared by 2025 Celebrity Chef Cassidee Dabney in the Wine Cellar, with pairings chosen by 2025 Featured Sommelier Andy Chabot. Activities such as hiking, fly fishing, cycling, clay shooting, horseback riding or boating can be balanced with conventional spa treatments or holistic experiences such as Deep Woods Healing Meditation or yoga.

Lot 28: Set sail along the Croatian coastline

Winning bid: $850,000

Four couples will spend eight nights exploring the wonders of Croatia with a night in Dubrovnik or Split followed by seven nights aboard the 122-foot charter yacht Navilux, an elegant vessel with every possible comfort and convenience, including an experienced crew of eight. During their seven nights onboard, they’ll visit islands only accessible to small luxury vessels such as Brač, Hvar, Korčula, Mljet and Šipan. With a coastline bordering the Adriatic Sea and a rich culture of art, music, food and wine, the country has something to delight everyone. Each couple will receive a magnum of 2022 Draco Dormiere.

Lot 29: Classic cars and cutting-edge wine

Winning bid: $420,000

For one couple and a guest couple the adventure begins with five nights at Monterey Car Week from Aug. 13-18. This is one of the most anticipated automotive events of the year—packed full of auto shows, auto memorabilia, VIP parties and new car reveals. They’ll be hosted by Ford Motor Co. and see many of the events through the eyes of CEO Jim Farley, including a visit to his private garage in Monterey. They’ll have VIP access to events such as the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion and the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The group will then travel to Sonoma County for two nights at Montage Healdsburg and an elevated VIP tasting at the Aperture Cellars estate. This lot includes 2 magnums of Aperture Cellars’ wines in the 2022 vintage. The winner will also have the pleasure of owning a 2024 Ford Bronco Raptor.

Lot 30: Turn up the music

Winning bid: $600,000

Three couples will spend four nights in Napa from May 22-26 with a privileged experience at BottleRock, the premier Napa Valley music festival, featuring the best in food, wine and craft beer. Recent performers have included Stevie Nicks, Pearl Jam, Duran Duran, Post Malone, Metallica and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Their accommodations will be in Treeline Suites at Meadowood Napa Valley, and their group will have access to the Platinum Lounge during the three days of BottleRock. They’ll be treated to a special concert at Gargiulo Vineyards, owned by Valerie Boyd and Jeff Gargiulo, NCEF Trustees and Founders of the NWWF, as well as join them for a private brunch on Sunday. Each couple will take home a collection of large format bottles from Gargiulo Vineyards.

Lot 31: A voyage to Arabia

Winning bid: $480,000

Two couples will spend seven nights exploring the history, heritage and culture of Saudi Arabia in a dazzling itinerary that combines the capital of Riyadh, the pilgrimage hub of Jeddah and an ultra-luxury resort in the Arabian desert. Their two nights in the capital will do a deep dive into the heart of Riyadh’s history and culture. Next, they’ll fly to AlUla for a three-night stay at Our Habitas AlUla, an eco-friendly retreat designed to blend seamlessly with its natural surroundings. Their party will enjoy three nights in Geneva with an exclusive view of Watches & Wonders in April 2026, as well as a watchmaking class with a master watchmaker and a walking tour of Old Town Geneva. Three nights in Lausanne will include a boat ride on Lake Geneva, a tasting in the terraced vineyards of Lavaux and a full day visit to Chamonix. This lot gives the winning bidder something almost impossible to acquire: a vertical collection of 31 vintages of one of the world’s greatest wines, preserved in pristine condition and signed by Proprietor Bill Harlan. The Harlan bottles in this collection have been stored at the winery and have never been moved. Every vintage received ratings of at least 95 points, with 18 receiving perfect 100-point scores. While the quality of every single bottle is beyond impressive, the importance of provenance cannot be overestimated.
